It is very difficult to find a plus-size special occasion dress to wear to a wedding. Sometimes you will have to have a dress made, but if you have to find something to wear in less than thirty days you will definitely have a problem.
I have gone to JCPenney in the past to look for a special occasion dress and they had a nice selection but if you are a younger woman in her 20s or 30s their selection is very small.
I have looked on a website called boohoo and I saw some cute dresses that would be perfect for a wedding and they are perfect for younger woman.

Sometimes it is good to get a small collection of dresses suitable to wear to a wedding before you even need it. Go to some stores just to see what is available, and if you see a pretty dress for a good price; get it even before you need it. If you need to go to a tailor to get it taken in a bit, it will be ready for you before any event.
I have seen some cute dresses and pantsuits at Burlington but they don't have a large selection.
I took a look at Avenue website and they had some adorable special occasion dresses and they come in many sizes for the plus-size woman. They even had some cute jumpsuits that you can wear to a wedding. Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try some new styles.
Don't sleep on Amazon. Check out their wedding guests dresses. I saw some that were adorable. Do a full search online before you go to any stores to get an idea of the type of dress that you want.
My most favorite place to get a special occasion dress is my local thrift store. They have a big selection for plus-size women suitable for all age groups. These dresses are beautiful, affordable, and you can take it to the tailor to get something added or taken away from the dress but most of the time I just get it and hand wash it or take it to the dry cleaners and store it away just in case a wedding comes up; I am always prepared.
