Get Rid of THE FEAR OF MISSING OUT Once and For All!

Get Rid of THE FEAR OF MISSING OUT Once and For All!

The fear of missing out has its origins in envy.  We do not want to admit it but we see our friends and family with their new cars, homes, fine clothes, and better jobs and we wish for the same things for ourselves.

What we do not see is the struggle that some people are experiencing to pay for these items.  It can include taking on a second job, starting another business, or taking out another loan.

Those of us who are not well off often decide that we are going to not miss out and attempt to get the same things that our friends have. There is nothing wrong with working and having nice things but does your pocketbook allow you to have those things without you experiencing a hardship?

Those are the conversations that we must ask ourselves. If you are overspending because you fear that you are missing out, you have to ask yourself " who am I impressing?" and you will get your answer.

To get rid of the fear of missing out once and for all means that we have to carefully plan what we want our financial future to be.  Start saving money towards short-term goals that you want to accomplish.  If it is that new big television, start saving a little money for about four or five months and then you will be able to get it without a financial strain.

If you want a new car carefully do an online search to see what resources are available to purchase this car without paying more money than you have to.  Also, take a lot of care and pride in the car that you already have.

If you want a new home, work on your credit if it isn't good.  Cut out all unnecessary expenses.  Factor in all of the things that you will need to get this home, like repairs that this home might need if it isn't a brand new home.  Enlist some credit repair agencies to get yourself ready so you can get your home.

Nice clothing can be had with careful planning and only buying clothes from brands whose clothing is known to be long-lasting.  Splurge once per month on affordable luxuries, so you do not feel like you are missing out.

Pull back from social media and live and invest in your own truth.  Make your own dreams come through and you will be a more content person. Find peace within yourself so you do not feel like you are missing out.

25 Useful Tips To Save Money And Improve Your Budget.

A new year always makes me think of ways to cut corners and improve my budget. Right now, food and other household products are at an all-time high. Since we don't exactly know what is ahead it is the perfect time to find ways to save on some products and services, so here are my 25 useful tips to help you save money.

Disclosure: There are affiliate links in this post which means that I would receive a small commission if a purchase is made.

1. Buy meats that are on sale or at the meat counter that you can have cut up and use for stews, stir fry, casseroles, and to flavor beans and rice.

2. Shop at the dollar store for your meat seasonings, eggs, tuna fish, and soda.

3. Buy toilet tissue in bulk when you can because it will save you money in the long run. Family Dollar usually have great prices for their big bundle of toilet tissue. That is where I get mine most of the time.

4. Buy big boxes and bottles of laundry detergent because you can use them for other things like; bathroom cleaner, to clean your floors, to clean areas around your kitchen, and you can wash your walls with it.

5. Try to save fifty dollars out of every paycheck to use for emergencies. If you cannot save that much then save something even if it is twenty-five dollars.

6. Do not buy dry clean only clothes because it will cost you more, in the long run, to take care of them.

7. Buy body wash and soap only when it is on sale at CVS or buy it in bulk at Dollar Tree, this will save you so much money over time.

8. Purchase a Firestick or Roku and cut down on your cable tv or eliminate it altogether; this will save you a lot of money in a year's time.

9. Get yourself a water filter because this will save you from having to purchase bottled water.

10. Learn how to do your own nails from watching YouTube videos.

11. Buy bedspreads because they are easier to maintain than comforters.

 12. Get Amazon Prime so you can order your groceries, and also watch movies.

13. Cut down on going to the hairstylist by doing your hair yourself or just going to the hairstylist once per month and then maintaining it on your own.

14. Look online for sales for your favorite cosmetics. Amazon usually has great buys and you can also cut corners by using sites like Elf Cosmetics.

15. Treat yourself once or twice per month to your favorite restaurants and order in. The rest of the time learn how to cook your own gourmet dishes at home. You can watch YouTube videos to get your favorite recipes.

16. Stop buying coffee every time you leave your home. Buy a great brand of coffee at your local supermarket and get a coffee maker if you don't already have one and brew your own. This is a habit that costs a lot of money without you really realizing it.

17. Buy plain but well-made clothes and then add some fun inexpensive pieces to your wardrobe. This will allow you to have more clothes for less money.

18. Buy your winter coats in April and May and you will be able to get some nice coats for a little amount of money. I do this all of the time and some of my favorite coats are only $20.00 or less.

19. Invest money into taking courses that will update your skills. You can do this without paying for expensive college courses. There are many online programs that are inexpensive and you can also contact your online high school for their catalog. They usually have a lot of valuable courses that don't cost much and some schools will even give you a certificate.

20. If you are short on money you can buy refurbished or used electronics at this site called Unclaimed Baggage. I just recently started shopping on this site for replacement tablets and I will be looking to get more computers for my business from this site. I paid a total of $18.00 for a tablet only, a few years old. It works great!

21. Go to the dollar store for your pet's toys, food dishes, and also their wee wee pads.

22. Make a potluck dinner on Sunday and use the rest to take to work for lunch. This will save a lot of money even if you just do this two days per week.

23. Buy your boots for next year at Rainbow Shops in March or April. I have been able to get nice boots for only $5.00 saving me a lot of money when the Fall and Winter seasons. I usually buy five or six pairs for only $25.00 or $30.00 total.

24. Get a tuneup and rotate your car tires every year because your car will run better and also help you save on gas.

25. Buy good quality used name-brand clothing at Thredup. You will save a lot of money and stay in style. I usually wait until they have a sale and then I clean up! Buy good quality used cars to avoid car payments and put some money away just in case you need repairs.
