Please, Vote! It Is Your Right.

Please, Vote!  It Is Your Right.

Hello, Everyone.  I just wanted to stop in and say that tomorrow we will be picking a new President Of The United States Of America.  I have been hearing some people say that they will not vote because they don't like the candidates but I have to say that nobody is perfect.  President Obama was not perfect even though he tried his best.  You will never find perfection in a human being because there is no such person.

We are going to experience some hard times whoever is in office because that is just the way life is.  Imagine being in America and not being able to vote at all.  We all would be complaining right?  Imagine how African Americans felt when they were finally able to vote February 3, 1870, We did not have full rights until The Voting Rights Act signed into law by President Lyndon Johnson on August 6, 1965.  These Americans did not have a perfect candidate but they still felt that their vote would make a difference.

I am not here to tell you who to vote for but exercise your right and vote.  If you do not vote then don't complain.

You Cannot Depend On Luck To Be Successful.

You Cannot Depend On Luck To Be Successful.

I am a fortunate person.  At one time or another, I have even called myself lucky.  The best way to describe luck is, getting something that you didn't expect,  Or you gamble and win something that you wasn't sure that you would win.

I have a different experience and my thoughts have changed regarding luck.  Luck is an idea and it is something that you cannot depend on.  This is the reason that people play the lottery or go to the casino and if they win one time, they will start to spend more money because they think that they are going to "hit it big."

The truth is, luck is a poor man's crutch.  The reason is because a lot of times we are spending money that could be used for something else because we are hoping and wishing that we will win.

In regards to business, I believe that we sometimes use the same concept, we start a business and just hope that people will come and buy from us or support our business.

If you use that strategy you are bound to fail.  It takes planning and very hard work to be successful.  You will have to put in a lot of hours and sometimes you may not make a profit at all for a while.  You will have to find ways to promote this business and sometimes you will have to pay money to do this.

Sometimes you will have to work for someone else until your business starts growing and paying off.
You may not even have much time to yourself to enjoy life but if you keep working hard on your business, you will be able to enjoy life later.

If you want to enjoy a so-called charmed life, you will have to pay your dues.

I am not rich by any means but one day I will be. Most wealthy people don't believe or depend on luck; they make things happen on their own merit. Another thing is, people who are wealthy don't expect people to give them things, they get it for themselves.

Would You Like To See A Talk Show With Beautiful Plus Size Women?

How Would You Like To See A Talk Show With Beautiful Plus Size Women?

Hello, Ladies, I was thinking today how wonderful it would be for someone to make a talk show with all beautiful plus size women.  This is something that should have happened already but maybe people feel that it wouldn't be marketable, but, I think it would be.  It would be great if it would focus on our needs with fashion, successful plus size women, love and relationships and etc.

You would be surprised at the clothes, makeup and hair products that we purchase just like anyone else.  Sometimes, clothes are much more expensive based on our sizes and I feel that this is a form of discrimination.  Most talk shows have the token plus size woman and I believe that this show idea would work for the masses of women who would like to see someone who looks like them on the television screen who are living and loving, large and in charge.  There are many plus size, women business owners and they should be featured on this talk show.

My ideal host would be Queen Latifah because I think that she projects a very positive image for beautiful plus size women and I would like to see women of all races.  Don't forget that Sashamoniquetalks is the one who put this idea out there and I would like for you ladies to comment if you would like to see a show such as this, in the near future.

If It Don't Make Money, It Don't Make Sense.

If It Don't Make Money, It Don't Make Sense

I have heard people say this for a very long time. The phrase itself is not grammatically correct
but, because of my southern roots, I understand what it means.  Many of us are involved in businesses and we are working hard to make it work and to get a stable income from our efforts that we put into it.  The truth of the matter is, It will take a while to see major growth for our money making activities.

A lot of people think, if they start a business, they will automatically get a lot of sales right away and that is not the case.  I agree with the phrase somewhat, because if you are spending a lot of money to start this business and you are not seeing major financial gains, you may be wasting your time. It is very important to stay on your job until you start seeing some real profit from your business.

Make sure to curb unnecessary spending while trying to grow your business. Sometimes you may have to change your money making strategy.  As long as you are not losing a lot of money, you should stick to your business goals.  If you put more work into it, you will start seeing the fruits of your labor.

Those of us who are working online know that our journey isn't going to be easy and it will take year's sometimes but I believe that God will bless your hands and your efforts that you put forth. Don't get weary and discouraged, keep it pushing!

A Ring Is Just A Ring? (Get Ready For Christmas)

So, they say a ring is just a ring.  The holidays are coming up and you had a ring in mind but you don't have the funds to buy your dream ring.  You all know by now, that I am a ring addict and I am not ashamed of it, but sometimes, a hobby can be very expensive. I am also a person who will not wear my most treasured possessions in places that would put me at risk for damage or other unfortunate events.

I searched for inexpensive ways to feed my ring addiction and I found a site that has rings that are reasonable but I am interested in jewelry that doesn't tarnish or turn my fingers green.  I am a person who is allergic to many things so, as I started to look online, I was amazed at the jewelry that I saw and the rings were so pretty.

I want to tell you if, you are on a budget and you like to look glamorous, there are a lot of options now.  You may even be looking for an inexpensive engagement or wedding set but you know that you can only afford sterling silver or a ring from a chain store that is mediocre.  Well, the option that I found is stainless steel rings.  They are so comfortable, don't tarnish, hypoallergenic, and will not turn your finger green and they have some with colored stones, cubic zirconia, or plain bands.

This is a great option to look into and I found a wonderful site called https://www.buybluesteel.com/
You can get a beautiful ring and they also have rings in a yellow gold tone also.  Building your dream ring collection is now easy!

Are You Planting Into Infertile Ground?

Are You Planting Into Infertile Ground?

I decided to do this post because I have been thinking about the seeds that I have been planting for years now with my online hobbies.  Some of these activities are productive but It was never my goal to use social media as a business.

There is a company that I have been associated with that has not lived up to the end of their bargain.  I will not say the name of this company but I feel that I have produced and I am not seeing any progress with this company.

I think my biggest regret is not taking my hobby serious enough to see that it could possibly turn into something more.

Before you think about joining a social media platform, you should truly research it and see if it is a viable choice where you could turn it into a small business.  I  love having a hobby.

I am a very sick person, so I have to keep my mind occupied to keep from dwelling on my illnesses.  Do not let these companies use  your craft to get rich and leave you with nothing.

This Dress Is Cute!

                                                    This Dress Is Cute!

I went to the Mall about a week ago and I saw this simple, black, dress.  I love the cut of this garment and the material was good quality and heavy.  These kinds of dresses are a staple that we all should have because it can be dressed up or down.  You can wear this dress year round and just add a blazer when the weather gets cooler.

I didn't purchase it but if it is still around, I will go back and buy it.

I Have Been Shaken To The Core!

I Have Been Shaken To The Core

Well, Guys, I had a lot to confront this weekend. There were decisions to be made and they had to be made quickly.  I cannot go into direct details but I have some things that I want to say.

You can go through life and refuse to see the things right before you and you try to cover up the hurt but there will be a time that you will have to face a situation, a (Goliath) in your life.

This situation was something that had been going on for a very long time but I didn't know how to confront this situation because of the uncertainty about how it would turn out.

God, let me know that now was the time and when I attempted to approach this situation, the pieces started to fall into place.  I was still fearful and to be honest, I still am.  That is what real change will do, it will scare the heck out of you.

Still not sure what the outcome will be, but, I am expecting something great to come through this.  When God says move, you better move because you may not get the opportunity again.

Confront your fears early because it will still have to be confronted even if it is many years from now.

The Truth About Poverty And Its Effects.

The Truth About Poverty And Its Effects.
A poverty mindset begins at a very young age.  We eat, sleep, and breathe its effects.
Poverty breeds contempt, greed, desperation, and instability.  If you have ever been poor, you will never forget the grip it has had on your life.

Even if you are no longer poor you will still wake up in a cold sweat from dreams you have had about your childhood.  The chipped paint, the times you probably have seen your parent cry because they are wondering where the food and the school clothes will come from.  Scenes of children going to bed hungry and their cries are something you will never forget.

Being poor is shameful, especially to children because they are usually teased and picked on in school.  They wear the badge of scorn that shouldn't be theirs.

Sometimes you will see young mothers wearing designer duds while their babies are in a soiled shirt and diaper, most of the day.
Some fathers will avoid coming home because they don't want to face the reality because they are unemployed and a non-contributor to the family. Most of the time they will disappear or drown their despair with alcohol.

Some people will borrow money from a neighbor or friend to buy food and then the next month they will have to pay this person back and revisit poverty once more.  This is a never-ending cycle that will hold you in the prison and grip of poverty.

The problem with poverty is, we escape through spending money that we really don't have.  We run away through alcohol, gambling and sometimes drugs and do not hold the other parent accountable for the responsibility in our children's lives.

How To Escape Poverty?

Educate yourself.  If you cannot go to college, go to your local Library and read self-help books and money management books.  Get a job and find other legal ways to supplement your income.  You can take low-cost courses through your local high school. If you do not have your high school diploma, study and get your GED.

If you or your children need clothing, go to a clothing bank, participate in clothing swap meets so you can get bigger size clothing for your kids if they are outgrowing their clothes.  You can also volunteer at a local thrift store to get skills and free clothing.  Also, try Freecycle.org to get free clothing.

If you need furniture, there are thrift stores and also organizations that donate furniture.  Contact social service organizations again Freecycle or ask family and friends for furniture they no longer want or using.  You can also get furniture from the curb but be careful you do not want to bring bedbugs home.

For food, only buy generic brands and learn how to cook with inexpensive ingredients.  Watch YouTube videos for good, cheap, recipes.  If you are really desperate contact social services for help with food and if you are really in dire straights consider dumpster diving and if you live near a lake or stream learn how to fish and read books on how to cook and clean it correctly.

Live beneath your means, pray, and don't borrow what you cannot pay back.
