GET NEW POTS AND PANS LADIES AND SHOW OFF THOSE COOKING SKILLS

NEW POTS AND PANS AT S&A STORES

Ladies, Ladies, Ladies!  You know the last time you cooked your last big dinner, your cookware was looking a bit shabby.  Yes, that pot was on its last leg but you remember that beautiful roast that you cooked in it and then, you remembered that this is the pot that Aunt Jackie gave you when you first moved out on your own.

A lot of times, our cookware hold many special moments and a lot of sentimental  value.  Yes, I am talking about me, but sometimes it is just time to let that raggedy pot go to the pot and pan junkyard.

First I was going to order some pots and pans, but I decided to go to S&A to see what they had available and I was happy that I went, because, I was able to pick the size pots and pans that I wanted without getting a whole set and the good thing is; if you do want a whole set, you are still able to create one at this store.

The post and pans that I saw were of good quality and if you have this store in your town; go in there and take a peek and you may decide that you will create your own set too.

HOW TO MAKE AN INEXPENSIVE AND DELICIOUS BAGEL SANDWICH

EVERYTHING YOU NEED IS SHOWN HERE TO MAKE THIS BAGEL SANDWICH

BAGEL

EGG

                                                      BACON

                                                CHEESE

This is a good Bagel Sandwich to make and you can even carry it to work for Breakfast or Lunch.

  1. You will need to take a Bagel and slice it and warm it slightly in your Microwave.
  2. Cook your Bacon.  You will need three slices per sandwich
  3. Scramble your eggs

So now, you want to take your Bagel and put the egg first.  Then you will take the cheese and put it on top of the eggs.
Next you will take your Bacon strips and add that to the sandwich.

Take your sandwich and Microwave just enough to make the cheese melt slightly and then you are done.

I make this sandwich very often and it is very tasty.

I hope that you enjoyed this recipe.  You will save a lot of money by making this.

THIS IS HOW YOUR SANDWICH WILL LOOK LIKE WHEN DONE.

IS THERE A REAL DIFFERENCE BETWEEN EXPENSIVE CLOTHES AND INEXPENSIVE CLOTHING?

This is a  perfect example of expensive clothing done right.
Look at the lean straight lines and it is classy and the fabrics speak
for themselves.

In this example, you will see the straight lines, but you also see where they tried to get a little daring with the animal prints, but, it is done in a manner where it has some sophistication without it being tacky.

The answer is yes, there is a very big difference between expensive and inexpensive clothing.
If you notice in the examples; the outfits have straight lines and they are simple in their styling but the fabric is so expensive looking, you can tell it would cost a pretty penny to purchase it and it is outfits that you would be able to wear 10 or 20 years from now.

So you may ask; why should I buy these instead of going to the trendy, inexpensive clothing stores?
The answer is; the price of one of these items are in fact low because you will be wearing it longer; you can mix and match with some of your other items in your wardrobe, to create new looks.

Expensive fabrics have a nice feel and the texture is smooth and if you look at the stitching; they all lie flat.
If you are buying expensive clothes; I would suggest that you purchase items that can be machine washed.

What is wrong with buying inexpensive clothing?  Nothing at all!
The problem with cheaper items it that the stitching is sometimes crooked, the fabrics don't hold up all that well, they tend to go out of style faster, and they can look cheap at times.

You are probably scratching your head at this point saying " I thought this blog was about saving money"

It is about saving money because I am unable to purchase some of these items myself, but the solution that works for me is; buying these expensive designer items at the thrift store or consignment shop. I can get this clothing for literally five dollars or less and I look for plain styling in expensive clothes so I can wear it for a long time.

You can buy expensive clothes from the clearance section at  major department stores and get a real bargain

Now, the best thing you can do, if you are buying inexpensive clothing, but want a more classy look to your wardrobe is to buy items in plain colors such as, beige, black, grey, blue and brown and buy only 2 or 3 trendy color items and you will be able to mix and match and create a look that is going to fool the eye to make it look more polished.

I would suggest also, that you purchase a nice, classy looking handbag and shoes and that will make all the difference.

These outfits could be worn to a party and it could even be worn to a wedding.  My favorite is the first dress shown.

Party season is not over, so why not go and get that dress and just sparkle and shine ladies.  We deserve that and much more.

HOW TO SURVIVE A BLIZZARD

The Northeast braces for a dangerous storm

In my State we are bracing for one of the biggest snow storms that we have seen in many, many, years.  The Weatherman predicted during the weekend that this storm with have a heavy impact and it will shut everything down.

The News have reported that all Transit will end at 9pm and their will be no more service until Thursday Morning.  Our Governor does not want any cars on the road and there are possibilities that there will be some power outages.

We have snow storms every year but it seems that after every year the storms are getting worst with higher levels of snow.

I am sure that some people got stranded trying to come home from work.  We cannot prevent snow storms but we can learn to prepare in advance so that, the storms do not cripple us.

Here are tips that you can use to prepare and although some of these tips are a given in the North East part of the Country; I am adding more and hopefully when another storm approaches we will be well informed and well prepared.

  1. Make sure to get some salt and shovels to keep all the entrances clear and the sidewalks clear.
  2. Buy in advance some big candles in tall jar and do not use them until you have an outage and buy a box of long, wooden matches.
  3. This tip is a given.  Go to the supermarket in advance and buy enough food for about 4 or 5 days. Make sure that you buy a lot of bread and canned food that will not spoil.
  4. Buy enough batteries so you will be able to use radio and flashlight.
  5. Go to hardware store and get a good flashlight and also go to Dollars store to buy about 4 more for a dollar each.
  6. Fill up some empty water jug with water and also buy some bottled water from supermarket.
  7. Check on Elderly and disabled tenants in your building or next door neighbors.
  8. Buy some can openers if you do not already have some.
  9. If you go to work the day of the storm; pack a small bag with extra clothes, medicines and personal cleaning items, just in case you get stuck and cannot get home.
  10. When at home, pack a small bag for each member of the family with clothing and medications, just in case you have to evacuate your home.
  11. Keep your cell phone charged all day until power goes out, just in case you have to call 911 for an emergency.
  12. Buy enough blankets in advance, just in case your heat goes out.
  13. Buy a plastic bin, just in case you have to put some food in and place outside to keep food from spoiling.
  14. If you keep your freezer closed, food will keep for a day or so.
  15. Keep money on hand, just in case you have to pay someone to shovel your side walks.
  16. Make sure to refill medications a day or two in advance, just in case you are running out of your medicines.
  17. Buy supplies for you pets in advance.
  18. Do not sleep with the oven on, to warm your home because it is unsafe.
  19. Keep your children indoors, just in case there are some fallen branches and fallen live wires.
  20. Do not try to clean off your car until it is safe to go outside and do so.

I know that these are a lot of tips, but they are meant to keep you and your family safe.

HOW TO MAKE GOOD, HEARTY BEEF STEW IN THE CROCK POT

It is really cold in my state today and it is snowy and what I like to prepare for my family is Beef Stew.  Beef Stew is really good and hearty and it is nice to make some good pot meals that are so easy to prepare and it is inexpensive to make.

Even though you can prepare this dish on top of the stove, I like to prepare this meal in my crock pot and set it to cook for 6 to 8 hours.

You can even prepare this dish while you are at work and come home to the good smells of your Beef Stew.

You can make some jiffy cornbread on the side, if you like or some good biscuits.

Ingredients:

  1. Buy a pack of beef cubes.
  2. 4 carrots cut up
  3. 1 half of Onion
  4. 1 Can of Mixed Vegetables
  5. Optional: Can of Tomato
  6. Optional: 1 half of Celery Stalk
  7. 3 potatoes
  8. Optional: Mushrooms
  9. Less than a half of teaspoon of Seasoned Salt or regular Salt.
  10. A small sprinkle of Black Pepper
  11. Less than a cup of water

Take out your Crock Pot and put all your ingredients in there and add your Salt and Pepper and Water and set your Crock Pot to cut slow for 6 to 8 hours and that is all there is to it.

Enjoy!
