I have always wanted to straighten my teeth since I was a child. I endured being bullied many times for something I couldn't help. Getting braces was out of the question at the time because it was so expensive.
I had gotten so discouraged, and I was looking to get extractions and get a partial denture or get all of my top teeth removed. I went to the dentist, and they wouldn't give me extractions because they said that my teeth were healthy. This greatly angered me because I couldn't find any solution to my dental problems.
It was my dream to get braces in my twenties or thirties. I could never afford it; it was out of my budget. About 9 years ago, I started to see advertisements for clear dental aligners that you could do at home.
Every time I thought that I would be able to afford these dental aligners, something else would come where I would have to spend the money that I was saving.
In November 2021, I started to see advertisements for AlignerCo, and I made the decision that I would take advantage of the Black Friday sale that they had at the time.
I ordered the impression kit, and it took between 2 to 4 weeks to come. When it finally came, it was very hard for me to do the impressions, so I had to do a video call for someone to help me do the impressions.
I spent a lot of money, and sometimes they would send me new impression materials and trays for free. It was very frustrating because I asked for extra large trays and they kept sending me the smaller size. It took about 8 or 9 months to get a decent impression that was workable.

When my AlignerCo aligners came, I wore them exactly as I was supposed to. There was some pain, but after two or three days, the pain was gone. I had to wear the trays for 10 days and then switch to a new one. You have to submit new photos of yourself wearing the new trays.
My treatment was thirteen trays, and when I got to the last tray, I noticed that my teeth didn't really change much. I was very angry.
I got in touch with AlignerCo, and they said that I needed refinements. At this point, I didn't want to pay any more money for this process. I was going to give up, but I had put so much money into AlignerCo, so I decided to get the refinements. As I am waiting to get my refinements, I had to wear my retainers.
I have noticed while I am wearing my retainers, my teeth are becoming a little bit straighter. In the first picture, you can see my smile changing a bit and it is some progress.
Right now, I am hopeful that the refinements will work. This process is not for everyone because I didn't feel like it was for me, but you will not find any process this affordable. Most companies will have you pay about $2000.00, and that is expensive for at-home dental treatment.

Would you believe that I have never owned cowboy boots? I recently saw some and they really looked interesting. Actually, they were pretty.

Dressing a plus size over 50 body is not easy. You have to wonder what is comfortable and what is appropriate.
I don't want to dress like someone in their 20s or 30s but I want to still look glamorous and cute in my own skin. Sometimes finding tops that cover and make me feel comfortable is hard. I am voluptuous, so I know that v-neck sweaters and tops are perfect for me. I like these tops to not show too much cleavage but accent my neckline.
You have to make an assessment of your best assets. It could be your arms, breast, shapely legs, small waistline, etc. If you have pretty legs, wear skirts and dresses that hit you at the knee or below the knee.
Wear shoes that are not too high, but wear shoes that will feel comfortable but still stylish. A medium heel would be perfect. If you love high heels and can walk in them without looking uncomfortable and hunched over, that would be a great look for you.
If your arms are well-toned, do not be afraid to wear nice tanks and shells in pretty colors. Pair them with dark color pants or pants in a similar tone as your top.
If you have a small waist wear tops that nip in the waist to give you that sophisticated hourglass shape. Dresses that cinch your waist and flare dresses look great on this type of body shape. These types of dresses do not go out of style fast, and they always look good.
Wear nice undergarments that will give you a smooth silhouette. Your clothes will look that much better.
If you are apple-shaped, dresses that are fit and flare, and hit you at the knee always look good. I can never go wrong with wrap dresses because they always look nice on me. Bevy Smith mostly wears this style and it always looks classy on her.
Never wear clothes that are too tight or too short because you will feel uncomfortable and it will show.
Plus size women can wear colorful clothes just don't wear busy prints on top of prints because it will make you look bigger.
Wear tasteful jewelry that isn't too big unless it is a statement piece and just wear one so you don't take away from your total look.
If you watch a program that has plus-size women over 50 and you like their style, copy some of the elements in their wardrobe that you like.
If you do not have a trench coat please invest in one because it will always make you look pulled together and sophisticated.
Wear some cute, dark-colored jeans and nice shirts or blouses. The truth is, we can wear a lot of things that women of other ages can wear we just have to know when something may not be appropriate for us.

I love clothes because for me it is a form of self-expression. I am a plus-size woman and wearing pretty clothes is very important to me. Shopping for good-quality clothes for a good price always catches my attention. My style ranges from Boho chic, preppy, and colorful clothing that allows me to stand out.
I was told to wear mostly black clothing because it would make me look smaller. I don't care how much smaller it would make me look, I am not about to look boring and predictable.

Thredup only sells used clothing. I am not filling up the landfills with new clothes but I am hoarding clothes like crazy. It is really becoming like a sickness to me.

You have to stop responding to advertisements about sales in your email. Do not go to a website (just to look) or you will end up buying something. If you are out shopping with friends or alone, do not bring your credit cards and bring a limited amount of money. If you say that you are only going to buy one thing, try to stick to it.
Why do I have a shopping addiction? Well, it comes from a time when I was really broke and I couldn't afford nice clothes. It is always been ingrained in me that this could happen again and it is a scary feeling to me.
How common is shopping addiction? It is very common. I actually know some people who have this addiction but they tend to throw good clothes away so that can continue to shop for new clothes every month.
Is a shopping addiction a mental illness? I actually believe that it is because you will get sad if you cannot buy something. It makes you act on impulse in order to satisfy the feeling that you get when ordering or buying something. Some people have a lot of credit card debt because they are out of control.

Handwashing your clothes is something that some people are ashamed to talk about. If you have needed to wash clothes and you did not have a washing machine this process can seem a bit daunting. This method is a great way to effectively clean your clothes and sometimes it will get your clothes cleaner than a washing machine.
In the past, I washed clothes by hand because I was broke and this helped me save a lot of money. Although I now have washing machines, I still like to use this method because it is therapeutic to me. I still don't like to wring the clothes by hand, so I do have a clothing spin dryer. This really helps to make this chore so much easier.

I Just Started my Alignerco dental journey, and I had a difficult start. Since I received my dental aligners, the journey seems like it is getting a bit easier.
Every two weeks I have to start another tray and although they are tight the first day or so, the pain is bearable. I thought that I wouldn't do well with eating, brushing my teeth, and the aligners back in my mouth.
The only problem that I seem to be having is putting the aligners in after having lunch at the mall. You have to be careful to not leave your aligners in a napkin because they will be tossed out.
I am finding that there are a few changes happening when I change into a new tray. This is going to be a long process that is for sure.
I have been using different products for the care of these aligners and to keep my mouth clean and fresh. Flossing every day is really important. I use string floss but I also use a water flosser.

This is good for people who are busy so they do not have to change their aligners throughout the day.
How long do aligners take to be made?
When I finally got approved to get my aligners, it took four or more weeks for them to be sent to me.
Do you like Alignerco?
I was very upset with Alignerco at first because taking the impressions and getting them right was a pain in the neck. Honestly, I didn't think that I would like them at all. The process is easier once you receive your aligners. So far, I am pretty pleased with them. If this changes, I will give you all an update.
